Here you will be able to find some examples of projects that I have worked on and/or contributed to.

web development

Below are some examples of the public websites I have developed and maintained.

Stepping Stones, Cambodia

http://www.steppingstonescambodia.org/

This website was created for a friend working at a not-for-profit school in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The site was developed using WordPress as a CMS to allow the school staff to easily make changes to the website's content. Work for the site involved setting up the web server, deconstructing the Photoshop design, and creating the desired WordPress theme.

As the client for the project was located in Cambodia, all communication between myself and the client was restricted to online methods.

Immaculate Conception Church, Unanderra

http://www.unanderraparish.org.au/

This site was voluntarily created, and regularly maintained, my myself for a local Catholic church. The aim of the website was to provide a portal for the church community and also provide general information for the global community. Primary requirements included a church contact directory, downloadable weekly bulletins, and information/photos of upcoming and past events.

Since the other maintainers of the site aren't experienced in web development, a CMS needed to be implemented to allow all maintainers to modify the site with ease. Joomla was implemented in this case. It allows for the manipulation of the page content, menus, and the upload/insertion of images. Being an open source application, Joomla was also an ideal choice for a non-profit organisation.

StB Interiors

http://www.stbinteriors.com.au/

The development brief for this site was short and clear - a simple showcase site for a self-employed blinds and drapes maker.

The website needed to display examples and details of the client's previous work and also contact details. Because the site would be relatively small, and updates to the site would be far inbetween and not regular, the site was created using smarty template engine to avoid unnecessary implementation of a CMS
